Idea of the Month: Create a Re-engagement Campaign
New Year, New Who? Remind your unengaged contacts exactly what your brand is all about with an automated re-engagement campaign!
Maintain the health of your database, and protect that all important deliverability, by gently reaching out to the ones that (almost!) got away...
See our handy guide for tips and tricks on how to get re-engagement right.
Three steps to… using dynamic blocks
Use dynamic blocks to show the right content to the right people. Hiding or revealing a template section is as easy as 1, 2, 3...
First: In the template builder, select the block you want to use dynamically and add it to your template. Then click on the cog-wheel in the top right corner.
Then: You’ll be given the option to hide the block from those who are either in, or not in, a particular lifecycle stage or saved segment. You might want to show a special hero image to Leads, or hide a first-purchase discount code from VIPs!
Finally: Once you’re happy with your selection, save it and you will see that the block is greyed out and labelled as ‘hidden’ in the builder. You can then use previews or test sends to see what both options will look like depending on who the recipient is.
Campaign close-up
Finisterre brightened the gloom of a post-holiday inbox this month with their Rainbird relaunch email. For those asking ‘what is a Rainbird?’ Finisterre are one step ahead of you, with some amazing content to excite loyal devotees and prospective customers alike. I love the mixture of product and content in this email - with a slick, easy-to-understand breakdown of the item in question, some great complete-the-look suggestions in the way of layerable fleeces and totally dreamy pictures of Rainbird out in the wild (anyone else desperate for a coastal holiday too?!) This is a great example of a product launch that balances being educational and inspiring with driving conversion and cross-sell. Fin.
