Release of the Month: Website Overlays
Boost your lead acquisition, capture subscribers and display incentives to prospective shoppers with Ometria’s brand new website overlays.
With a myriad of customisable options covering design elements such as image, copy and font, and strategic variations around frequency and exclusions, it’s easy to align the overlays to suit your company’s brand and communication style.

Three steps to… using the ‘customer cohorts’ table
Analyse customer groups by a multitude of metrics to find key insights and inform your targeting strategy. Using customer cohorts is as easy as 1, 2, 3….
First: Head to the segment explorer, and either select a specific segment you want to analyse, create a new grouping or leave as-is to analyse your entire customer database.
Then: Scroll down the page until you see the ‘customer cohorts’ table. Go to the ‘group by’ dropdown list - ‘first visit medium’ will be selected by default, so deselect this to aggregate all the data into one line. Now choose any metric, or combination of metrics, you wish to dig into further - be it demographic data, value-driven or channel-based.
Finally: Once you’re happy with your selection, use the data you’re shown to pull some actionable insights. For the below, I can see that on average Spanish customers take a lot longer to convert after subscribing than other markets, therefore I might decide to target my Spanish Leads with a lead activation campaign within those first 100 days of subscription to encourage a first purchase.
Campaign close-up
I absolutely loved this Oliver Bonas campaign, which promotes their best products for beautiful table decor, timed to coincide with the reintroduction of indoor socialising. There are so many great things about the email content! The visuals are really dreamy, and there is very little copy which demonstrates how well-placed images can tell a story on their own. The images feel super editorial, and I also love the subtle use of gifs to give a dynamic edge. The email ends with a link to some featured recipes on the Oliver Bonas blog; recipes which would look great served alongside their products. It’s a great value-add, it’s relevant - as people are hosting guests again for the first time - and it simultaneously promotes their range in a subtle way. From the pastel colour scheme to the simple, but luxurious-feeling layout, this email is a class act.
