Release of the Month: Custom Fields

One of the best things about working at Ometira is you, all the amazing retailers that chose us to drive their CRM efforts. Even though Ometria is retail specific, it soon becomes apparent that no two businesses are the same and whilst we have incredible depth and capabilities within our Customer Filter, each retailer has unique use cases bespoke to them.

It’s a great addition then, that Custom Fields comes to the frontend of the platform, reducing the time to segment your contacts, generate reports and send customised emails based on bespoke information about your contacts. Anyone with the correct permissions is now able to create and edit your custom fields in your account(s). That means you can add any properties at contact or order level. 

The Custom Field dashboard provides an overview of the custom fields created in your account and your remaining allowance. From here you can also edit the name of each custom field shown in Ometria as well as archive any that you are no longer using to keep your dashboard neat and tidy. 

How about adding a Purchased BF 2021 to report on all contacts buying during Black Friday 2021, or Gifting Customer field to track those buying from you with others in mind this festive period? Take a look in your account, under the settings section, and let us know what you think!

Utilise the Dimension Matrix for Broadcast in just 3 steps!

Want to reel back your engaged yet lapsed customers in Q4? Tucked away at the heart of your Customer Insights tab is the Dimension Matrix, our handy tool to give a snapshot of your customer database and a springboard to launch a targeted campaign from!

 

First… Use the dropdown boxes on the matrix to choose two metrics - here I’ve used Email Engagement and Lifecycle Status, but the matrix also looks at Frequency and Customer Value.

 

Next: See what opportunities lie in your data! In this (dummy) database, we can see there are over 2000 lapsed customers with medium or high email engagement.


Finally: Fancy targeting these email readers with a win-back campaign? You can pull the trigger on this campaign just as fast as it’s recipients will on an order!

As the days get shorter and the cold sets in, we’re now finding Christmas and Gifting marketing emails arriving in our inboxes faster than Michael Bublé climbs the charts!

 

One campaign which we at Ometria love is this latest Robert Dyas offering. They’ve opted to set up a category browse campaign, targeting those who have browsed their Christmas and Gifting Page. 

 

Whilst you might not have an extensive range of categories to speak to festive must-haves, this campaign removes the guesswork and helps guide the recipient to the right products that might be searching for. 

 

What’s more, by updating the links in these emails so that they add clickers to segments, you can launch personalised automation campaigns related to the preferences of your contacts. If they’ve clicked through on your christmas lights image, why not follow up with some incentives to secure that purchase!


Quick and simple to orchestrate, with all the required guidance neatly packaged here, it’s campaigns like this which will ensure you have a very merry Q4!
