Step 1: Create and schedule a Broadcast Campaign
We will be referring to this as “Campaign 1”, which will be a standard unsent campaign, you will schedule to be sent on a Friday afternoon, for example.
Start by creating a multi-step broadcast campaign that incorporates the interactions of contacts with a previous campaign. This can be done by utilising the "interacted with a specific broadcast campaign" filter. In the past, this filter only allowed selection of sent campaigns, requiring you to wait for campaign 1 to send before building the segment and creating campaign 2.
Step 2: Segment Contacts Based on Interaction
With Ometria’s recent update, you can now select any Broadcast campaign, including unsent ones, when using the "interacted with a specific broadcast campaign" filter, in the Segment Explorer.
This means you can create a segment of contacts based on their interaction with any planned future campaigns that have not yet been sent. This flexibility allows you to set up responsive marketing campaigns more efficiently.
Step 3: Build the Complete User Journey in One Session
Taking advantage of the expanded filter option, you can now complete the entire user journey in one session. This update removes the previous restriction that required you to create Campaign 1 and wait for it to be sent until you could build the interaction-based segment to be targeted by Campaign 2.
Ahead of time, you can create the segment for Campaign 2 targeting non-openers from Campaign 1 and schedule it to be sent over the weekend in one go.
By following these three steps, you can create multi-step Broadcast campaigns that incorporate interactions with upcoming emails, ensuring your marketing campaigns are flexible, responsive, and efficiently managed.
With the updated feature, you can streamline the process, saving time and effort.
